Rolex Submariner 14060M Value? local guys has one for sale at $2k

I bought my first Rolex a few months ago, a new Daytona SS. I'm looking for more of an everyday watch that I'm not so worried about damaging:)

A local guy is selling a 14060M Sub. He wants $2k, here are a few pics.

Buy it or not?

I can't see that we'll from the pics. If its real that's a good price if it's in good shape. It will most likely need a service but at that price you can't lose. That makes me very nervous because that's WAY TOO CHEAP..... That's not even a 14060....., that's a 16610.

$500-700 for basic service. If parts needed $700-1k+ if it needed something major

Unless the pics are distorting things that's a $20 dollar watch. Should be in a watch out section.

I agree. Rehaut appears too angled, dial fonts are wrong, magnification looks off. I don't believe this to be an authentic watch.

I wouldnt give 20 bucks for it, just look at the state of the bracelet, square finger nail depression under the fold over clasp section, clasp font wrong, FOLEX crown on clasp is a joke, end pieces are CHUNKY, dial font looks way out to me, I dont like the overall look of this one. This watch has never even seen Switzerland, thats just my opinion! REAL SUBS DONT SELL FOR 2K. Run Forest, Run...

That is not a Rolex, eventhough it says so on the dial and clasp. Others in this thread have already indicated it. No need to spend more time on this.

This does not pass the "too good to be true" test, nobody sells a $4,000 watch for $2,000,not to mention the fact that it`s counterfeit.

It's a Fake! Look a lugs, crown guards, the thumb recess to undo safety clasp, the cyclops mag, etc.

Run Forrest Run!

Total fake. Biggest give aways for me are: (a) a 14060M is NOT supposed to have a date function ... it's a non-date sub for chrissake; (b) the date font is wrong as Rolex hasn't used open 9s for years ... if you're gonna try an pull a fast one, at least TRY to make it look right; and (c) the bracelet is totally wrong. All in all, a total piece of crap. Run away!

My first thought was "not a 14060".

My second thought was "it's been moved to watchout, saves me a job".

$2,000? Jeebus.
