If I send it to RSC, is there a danger that they'd replace the bezel insert and polish the case? Because, you know, I wouldn't want to mess with its "all original" beauty.

The seconds hand looks a bit unusual to me.... wait a minute... there is no seconds hand.

You never know what you'll dig up next with one of those metal detectors. One day old tin cans, the next an old Rolex

Now there's a true tool watch.

Question is, did they use it as a hammer, or a jack hammer?

The real deal breaker for me is no papers.

(Let's see, "Does not work." So buyer would likely have to replace crystal, bezel, insert, crown, case, hands, dial, and - at best - overhaul the movement. In other words, the watch. Good deal.)

Bob Ridley will take care of it ... In all seriousness I would love to get an expert restorer opinion on what it would cost (if its even worth it, I doubt ) to get her up and running again...

I have only seen one other example with that rare subterranean dial...

During the "Cold War" days, they were used by moles.
