Can one of you fine people help here?
My lady-friend knows that I am fond of nice watches and showed me a Rolex that her grandmother bought her as a present around 15 years ago (and it may not have been new then). I'm reasonably sure it's a fake but I don't know a great deal about Rolexes so here I am to ask you for some expert help.
It is a ladies quartz watch, the face is satin finish gold with the Rolex crown symbol where the 12 would be, little diamantes at the 3, 6 and 9 positions and gold dots for the other hour markers. Beneath the Rolex symbol it says Rolex and then below that Oyster Perpetual. Opposite that lettering above the 6 o'clock position it says Quartz and then Water Resist in the line below. The words Swiss Made are either side of the 6 o'clock diamante. The case is circular and stainless steel, a thin gold rim extends from the lugs and around the glass. The crown is dome shaped and does not have a Rolex logo on it, not does it appear to have a sealing ring. The back is etched with an outer ring which reads Stainless Steel Back Water Resistant and then in the centre is the Rolex symbol with the words Rolex Swiss Made 23K 30M below that in 3 lines. The bracelet is stainless steel with a jewelry clasp. The clasp has no Logo or other marks on it. The top side of the bracelet has a double row of gold links running down each side but the back shows that these are only plated lugs and are a part of each link not separate. I cannot find any serial numbers or model numbers on the watch. Front: Back: Thanks for reading all of this and for any light you may be able to shed on it. +1. At least the crown logo is the right way up though!

Alos, a Rolex is EITHER an "Oyster Perpetual" (self-winding automatic), OR a "Quartz". Not both!
