What can expect for the 50th Anniversary of the Daytona next year?

I know it's probably too early to start discussing next year's Baselworld but with the incredible redesign made to the GMT for it's anniversary, I'm hoping to see something new for the Daytona.

I know many think it's already close to perfect, as do I, but I'd like to see Rolex update the design while maintaining the legacy and heritage of the watch, no easy task though!

Thoughts?

I'm not expecting anything special. Maybe some stranger editions than the leopard Daytona and rainbow daytona. IMHO not a whole lot more to do to the Daytona.

If they really want to do something GREAT add a date.

As it is Rolex a new dial, or a new color on the strap could be their big news, So not hoping for much.

Ceramic on Stainless, racing dial. They have to do it sooner or later.

A part of me believes that there will be changes announced for next year.

Perhaps a bigger size, but probably not.

Ceramic bezels across the board may be likely however.

This is the reason I am holding out on a purchase of a YG Daytona until sometime next year. Would hate to commit to a 25k watch the year before it is updated.

Was at an AD today in Forest Hills, NY and had this very same discussion.

They had just got in the rose gold w. ceramic bezel and chocolate dial. Ceramic bezel looks great but AD wasn't so sure that the change would take place on all Daytonas.

As far as date goes, I really don't think that it's in the cards as the movement would have to be changed.

Maybe we will see a Daytona Date with new movement, in WG, RG, and Two Tone.

Would hope for a date...but more importantly, a revised bezel (ceramic would be great) and a size revamp. 40mm for a dress watch is OK, but for something in the sports line, I think 41-42mm makes more sense.
