Rad Mad Disease
Help, I'm infected with Rad Mad Disease.
I'm looking for the temporary cure, the acquisition of another Rad to compliment the #287. Looking simpler this time round, need a sandwich dial, want to keep it simple and not burst the war chest. Decision narrowed to 210 or 183 Which one, why? Price is similar, both used examples. Will be a daily wearer and get its share of knocks, just like the #287. At least those knocks will be shared with the #287. Question for mfer. Mik, if I chose 210 are the gold hands readily sourced? Yesterday I bought an OEM gator brown strap for the new choice, yet to be made. Thanks, look forward to reading your replies, after a kip. Cheers Richard |

You know my vote and just for the record, my hands are not OEM, so yes, they are easy enough to get, but it takes a few weeks.
OEM hands can be had but will take longer and cost you ~300 euros. I like my non-OEM (slightly larger) hands well enough. Why the 210? The balance is just perfect to me and seems more historic like my grail the 3646. LOVE the 12/3/6/9.

I would say 210 over 183...but either would be great!

FWIW you can get gold hands for a 183 as well, but 210 still rocks!

Thanks for the input folks, I've scratched my itch with the 210. From a fellow TRF member.
Mik, thanks for the support, I'll send you a PM with my contact details, I'd like to order a set of those gold hands, please. Ahh, now I can relax a little, sit back and wait. Australia is a long way from the USA. Might just look at straps. Another Rad, Mad Rad Disease is a pleasant feeling. Very pleasant, and wonderful to share with fellow PAM owners. cheers richard |

Got your pm Richard. I'm out and about on this perfect weather day. The hands won't be coming from me, Japan or Hong Kong if I remember.
EDIT: I made some time and you should have a PM Richard! |

What a PM, mate, thank you. The information is extensive and I've tried to take it all in. Sent off an email, received a reply just a few minutes ago. A language thing to work out, but it will happen. As an update, he does accept PP, takes the hassle out, eh! The #210 owner/seller went the extra mile and sent if off today. It will head to a friend in Califooya, then relayed across the Pacific by another friend at the end of next week. A little while after that, it should be in my hands. Enjoy the wonderful weather, I'm polishing my old car today, an annual event. cheers richard |
