Flags On The Dial As Markers?
Today, someone at work mentioned liking a Rolex that had nautical flags on the dial for markers. He said it was a Yachtmaster. While I didn't state that such a watch was never made, I didn't tell him he was a flippin' idiot. I do, for some odd reason, recall seeing a watch similar to what he is describing, but I think it was called a "X" branded Regatta.
To give you some background on the guy, he drives an '87 Accord and lives in a '67 singlewide where he pays over $400/month in electrical bills because there's no insulation. (I'm not knocking him, I'm getting to the point!) Having said this, oftentimes on his weekends off, he'll play "dress-up" in his Sunday best and go test drive Lexus, Acura, and other 'finer' autos as well as go try on Rolexes. Also, he mentioned to me the other day about how he SO BADLY wanted a Breitling and how there were only three shops in the world where they were sold. He'd never heard of Glashutte, Panerai, Petek, etc....ARGH! Sometimes I just can't stand him; however, I'd never knock him for being where he is and wanting to have more, however, the car and watch deal is kinda pathetic. And, for those who saw the thread about the 'Gruen watch', sadly, no, this is not he same guy. I work with many unfortunate morons. So, back to the question at hand -- what watch has nautical flags for markers?

Corums Admiral's Cup watches have 'em
Here's the ~6000 buck chrono, but they have regular faces (with flags) too |

I think you're thinking of the CORUM. They're huge in the yachty fraternity and love adorning their watches with marine flags. Not my taste but hey....
And yes, I'm fairly certain Rolex never brought out a piece with flag markers.... |

Hmm, looks like I was correct -- Regatta. That's what I thought (kinda). I'm off to pat myself on the back.

I kinda like the Corum - it's different, to say the least.
