Watch Boxes From Rainer

Saw some pics of his work. Looks like quality pieces. Has anyone that owns one of his watch boxes had any problems with the pillows being too big for their watches? I have a relatively small wrist (< 6.5 mm and a 40 mm watch) want to be able to close the clasp without squeezing the bejesus outta the pillow. I'm in dialogue with Rainer but thought I would seek this forum's opinion should anyone own one of his boxes and has firsthand knowledge. Thanks.

I'm 6,5 and never had any problems with the pillows in my box.

If the pillow is made correctly, you close the clasp first.. Then squeeze the pillow and insert it into the bracelet.

It would take a pretty huge pillow to not be able to do this..

My Rainer 12 slot watchbox arrived yesterday and I have about a 6.5in wrist. I have to say the pillows are quite stiff, I can close the clasp but the bracelet is now quite tight and I dont want it to stretch out in the long run if thats even possible. So ive left them open. Cant really telll the difference once they are inside..

Ive had other boxes where the pillows are quite soft but these Rainer ones seem to have a leather feel to them (somewhat stiff) and I can tell much higher quality than what I was previously using.

Just cannot see how a bit a material could stretch one of the strongest materials S.steel.

The pillows are soft in the middle, however they have stiff sides that are not flexible. My wrist isn't tiny, but I cannot slide the watch over the pillows, I have to do the clasp after I put it over the pillow. I wouldn't get this case if you think your wrist is tiny.
