How often does rolex release dials for DJII

Does anyone know when rolex releases new dials for DJII? is it randomly released or anually?
I'm hoping they release a black diamond dial.

I could be wrong but I think I saw a diamond dial DJ II in Tokyo...

Maybe it was not a black dial though.

Same question here. Do they release the dials together with the model?

I know they have the silver diamond dial, and a light grey diamond dial. I just really want a black diamond dial.

I just brought home a darker grey diamond dial last week.

Official color I believe is rhodium.

Its not black but darker than the silver I think you are talking about.

They usually release dials at Basel. I don't know if they release them at any other time. There are more combos for the DJ than all other models. In a few years I'll bet there will be dozens for the DJII. I usually look at the books at ads to see all the dials.

Someone posted the current selections for me somewhere. I also picked up a book that shows all of them as well from the AD - the current Rolex catalog I guess you'd call it . . . . I can try and find one or the other if it helps.

The NYC Wempe Boutique confirmed for me today that the dials are introduced at Basil. Rolex published all the new ones in the Basil 2012 special catalog, and they start to filter into ADs around September.

They confirmed that any AD can get just about any dial, as long as they can get the actual base watch, in no more than 2 weeks, usually less.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

Beautiful collection you have there. I think I will eventually get a diamond dial DJII in silver and swap out when more options are available in the future.
