The new ceramic no date submariner !!!!
The clocks ticking and any day now surely they must be selling the no date sub
ceramics ? Having parted with my 16600 seadweller V series from 2009 which i now regret ive set my sights on the new model no date subs. Has a price been set for these ? and is demand going to be crazy ? and has any dates been set for release of the new model ? Im gunna predict the new ceramic no date sub is gunna be there best selling watch of all time !!!! |

Err, no. I tend to think the ND (even with a new ceramic version) doesn't garner all that much attention from non-WIS.
Maybe one of the forum members who actually works at an AD can chime in...

I've heard price about $7700ish but who really know. I HIGHLY doubt the SubC ND will be produced or sold in the numbers of the GMTIIc or SubC. I would be absolutely shocked if it sold even close to the SubC date or GMTIIc and I dot think there is a chance it will be their best seller. The 4 ADs I've talked to so far have more deposits for the DJ and YM than the Sub. I only heard of one order for a Sky Dweller WG. I think the fact the 114060 doesn't have a date is a turn off for many nonWIS. I don't see demand as high as the ExpII last year. The new ND SubC will be a turnoff to many of the ND Sub fans as they are mostly traditionalists. I could be wrong but I don't see it flying out the door. I wouldn't expect the release until September. Could be as late as the new year for some stores.

I would think it would be comparable to the last re-release of a watch that wasn't flying off the shelf in its previous incarnation: the Explorer II. To that extent, every AD I've poked around at has had several in stock.
The real question is: what kind of discount could I get on the now-defunct no-date Sub... |

If I were you, I'd be looking for another Sea Dweller.

I think that after years of slow sales, in the last six months or so, sales of the 14060M have increased at least some. We've seen a lot of new ones on this board alone during that time.
I think that when the 114060 is released there may be a bit of a rise in sales, but I'm more inclined to believe that when the average customer looks at the Submariner showcase, the 114060 will be just a Sub without a date. Some will be drawn to it for its clean dial and maybe the traditional aspects of the watch (or what is left of the traditional aspects), but most will just give it a fleeting glance before choosing a Sub Date. Alas!

This is the figure that I would expect, however, I have no real idea and I don't think anyone at this point knows, either.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Will go by the AD today I think, and get myself on the list!

I recently took two friends with me to try on a subc date I will be picking up soon. They both admitted to not liking the cyclops at all.
To people who are not fans of the cyclops this may be the perfect watch. Also I would say the "cleaner" look of it makes it even more versatile than a Sub date. However I would always personally go with the date. |

Hodinkee did a review on the watch during Basel 2012 and mentions the list price to be $7,100.

I was also informed by Mayors here in Miami that it will be end of July-August here as well.
