Icon10 Why yes, that is a $40 (Bond) strap on an $8,000 watch (SubC)

Calling Mr. Pierce, calling Mr. Pierce: permission to join Nylon Nation?

This is the "official" movie-style Bond strap from Corvus: https://corvuswatch.com/index.asp?page=bond_moviestyle It's made in Britain and has a buckle with fabric-keeper (versus NATO style). The strap is definitely well-made, however I wish the nylon was just a bit thicker.

I welcome any comments!

Love the watch/strap combo but I do not think the shirt is doing it any favours. I think you are losing the impact of the grey and red stripe against the brighter red and grey in the shirt. Go for the classic white cuff or bare arm and give the strap a chance to stand out, discretely of course.

It's funny you say that, as I actually wear my sleeves rolled up. I just put them down for the picture, in order to cover my unfortunately small wrists.

Rather small wrists than the suspicions aroused by overly thick wrists, Still I suppose it keeps your watch wound up!

Suspicions aroused by overly thick wrists? First time I've heard that one before. So, what are thick wrists supposed to be indicative of then?

That was my big complaint w/ the Corvus woven nylon strap, too flimsy for a heavier watch....that's why I stick w/ Maratac brand woven nylon straps, they use a beefier fabric.

Is there excess "tail" with a nylon keeper (because on a nato you can fold it under the metal loop)?

Agreed. In the next couple days I'm going to figure out how to brush the buckle. What do people usually recommend - scotch pad?

I have a couple Maratac straps on order as well. One a solid military gray, and another in the "Bond" colors.

I have a small wrist, but even going to one of the last holes on the strap, there is minimal "tail" as you put it. I was worried about the excess being too long (and thus hanging loose after the keeper), but it works out well. The healthy width of the keeper takes care of that concern.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I use the Corvus NATO version on my ND Sub. I put away the SS bracelet some time ago. Otherwise I'm wearing my TT Sub.
