My thoughts are unless you are truly wealthy resale value is very very important. Nothing stings like paying 15K for something and have it worth 5K in a few years. I always look for resale value when purchasing big ticket items, watches, cars, houses, real estate, etc.

I bought a BNIB Z ser 16610 when it first came out for 4K. I sold it a few years later for 4200. Currently, the same model Z serials preowned are going for 5K+. Great resale value

I say yes. With that said I know every time I pick up a rolex I know it will hold its value. Can't say that about my place here in Chicago!

I don't think of the resale value of anything I buy. If you do...you probably can't afford what you're buying.

Do you consider reslae value of your TV, shoes, table lamp? Of course not. Nor should you think of your watch that way.
