I beat a gmtc TT all weak at the Beach, and the sand was tough on the polished parts- but my sunblock barely cleaned off of the watch! It was the spray on stuff, and is very hard to remove!!!
All modern rolexes are fine at the beach- but will beat them up A tad!

I wouldn't be caught dead with a Daytona at the beach. No way...no how!

I've worn mine in the ocean water at the beach. No problems - just wash afterward.

Yup, Rolex's are pretty delicate watches, they aren't built for outside activities, better keep them inside away from sun, sand, water, rain, snow ......
It's a watch, it's meant to be worn and used. Only a dress watch I'd have a little more reservations with where I take them .... |

It's water resistent to 100 meters and a durable timepiece. It's not my first choice as i am fortunate enough to have others. If it were my only Rolex, or the one I happened to have on when going to the beach - so be it.
Now, would I wear my DSSD to Bike Week or Daytona Speedway - that's another question. ;)

hm, I probably would not. but not because the watch would be damaged, but because it leaves ugly white streaks where it sat. Its a big watch and when you wear a smaller one it doesnt look very pretty with those white streaks you get after wearing a daytona. And i for one wants to get a tan even. I girly opinion i guess.

I have been wearing my Daytona to the beach, in the Ocean and in the pool for the past two years and with absolutely no problems and it looks just as good as when I got it. But I do rinse it off after the ocean. It's also amazing how many people at beaches or pools ask about it
