My "new" but "pre-loved" poor man's Daytona - TUDOR CONTENT!

Hello everyone! It's finally here. Tudor Prince Date 79260P - H Serial. The watch was made after Tiger Woods got fired. As a matter of fact, I like it a lot better with the "Tiger." I must say that it sits very nicely on the wrist. For a fraction of the cost of a SS Daytona, this is definitely a great watch. It even has a date backed by the 7750 movement! I'll stop talking and the pictures take over from here. Enjoy the pictures!

A poor man's Daytona but a PREMIUM Watch in every way, Bit like saying John McEnroe is no Roger Federer in absolute titles........ But as players I liked watching both.

Great choice and it looks terrific! I seem to wear my 79180 Big Block as much as my Sub......never thought that would happen. I love the look and feel of the Tudor Chrono's and they wear so well!
Congrats again and mine says hello............

..............and yes, many refer to them as poor man's Daytona. But for me personally, I like the look of the all brushed finish on my oyster bracelet vs. the PCL on the Daytona............plus I get a date window, BONUS!!
All at less than half the price!

Love it..Beautiful watch..Tudor should go back to the old days where they kind of were the poor mans rolex..I think if they went back to selling date-days, dates, subs etc they would sell alot more watches. And also bring them back to the U.S.

A huge congrats to a great watch! Given the huge amount of fun you get out if it, it is well worth the money spent, and the Tudor has many benefits of it's own (comparing it to the Daytona). There are several owners of the model you have on TRF, myself included. As a matter of fact Panos (PanosI) and I have the same model as you; H serials with only a few numbers apart. I got mine NIB in January 2009 (at ca 1/5th of the cost of a Daytona then - lucky me!), with the black dial, but later had my AD install a panda dial like yours (and Panos'). Engi also have two beautiful recent Tudor chronos.

A beautiful watch, that I enjoy very much every time I wear it:

Like yours:

How it came, in Jan 2009:

I also have oyster end links, and an oyster bracelet for it:

But I absolutely prefer it on the Tudor jubilee, that (IMHO) is the most comfortable bracelet they've done in Geneva...

Once again: Congrats!

Best,

A

I would love to 'settle' for a poor man's Tudor. Very nice.

I love the old Tudor chronos better than the current Daytona. I wish the daytona offered the different color subdials.

I am growing to detest the term "poor man's Daytona". I'm sure you were being humble and this rant is not directed towards you. I find several Tudors to be desirable and do not consider them a lesser alternative. There is nothing wrong with purchasing something you like. My heritage gets 10x's more action than my Daytona. Just my 10 cents.

Big Congrats !!!

You 've got a super beautiful watch there and one of my all time favourites.
The specific 79260P is so close in looks with the Daytona.

Pic from the internet

Mine says hi

There is a rumour that my 79260P with my buddy Anders' 79260P were at the same time in the same bench at the assembly line in front of the same watchmaker which made the last quality tests and send mine to Greece and Anders' to his AD

I am more than sure that some day,the 2 brothers will reunite over a coffee
