Fair market value for a 16610 case back?
I’m considering purchasing a second case back from my 16610. Can anyone chime in with what the fair market value for a clean case back is? I know I can not walk into a local AD and purchase one.
Why am I looking for a second case back for my Sub? I thought it would be nice to have the case back of Sub engraved with the name of each country I and it travel to. I would like to have an unaltered case back for when I send the sub in for service to a Rolex service center. Best to all, Arron |

Well, I guess an RSC could inform you what the cost would be of a spare case back?

Try to get it for a good price first, but I would pay up to a few of hundred dollars of it, for sure!
The problem is if you miss out on this one, where/when are you going to source another one from??? For me it's an easy decision. John. |

Arron,
I don't think I would worry about it.. Rolex is not going to confiscate an engraved caseback, nor are they going to grind off all the etchings.. As a matter of fact, if you send your watch to Rolex with instructions, they will actually engrave it for you....according to your instructions.. |

Well, I was going to post a question, but I see that Larry's already answered it.
Larry, you should change your handle to "The Answer Man."
