Hi. I just joined this forum myself and was wondering the same thing. I prefer to buy from an AD and not over the internet. Thanks for your help.

I actually had something like this happen with a supposedly "new" watch from an AD and Rolex replaced the bracelet for free after holding the watch for a few weeks. Not that the previous event is a common occurrence, but my experiences have been better overall online than with ADs, especially with the money I've saved. The sellers are usually more like brokers than anything else, since you usually get all the same things you would get from the AD, but second hand through the seller instead of directly from the dealer. Somewhere in my posting history I started a thread about that whole damaged watch bracelet debacle if you feel like looking for it. Must be around two years ago that it happened now. |

London jewelry will work with out if you are on the outskirts. Inner city you should take a look in wempe.
If your going to pay cash and want a killer deal try 47th street, however keep in mind that they are cow boys there and anything goes, some are even a bit sketchy...but if you have your head on right deal are to be had, especially if you have a large blingy watch to trade in.

Really no deals to be had in NYC. The trusted sellers on TRF are the way to go. I live in NYC as well and would never buy from any of the ADs in NYC.

Agreed. ADs in NYC can easily move their merchandise at full retail so they have no need to offer any deals. Look to TRF or other ADs out of state that will ship to you (don't have to pay sales tax).

I don't think New York is the best value place to get anything.
Online sellers here have a great reputation. Only wished there were more from the UK I could take advantage of. |
