Buying online: Looking for forum input
Hey all,
First time posting on TRF. I purchased my first two Rolex Watches (Submariner and Datejust two tone w/ 18k and blue face) at reputable dealers but have been especially apprehensive about buying one online. I have found numerous watches that have peaked my interest including this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Mens-D...#ht_7273wt_953 What is frame of time's reputation like? Other recommendations for most reliable dealers online? Appreciate your input |

Please dont use eBay for your first online purchase...so many scams.
Try the who's who section here to find many reputable new / pre owned sellers. |

I'd run from that watch my good man. It has a factory modified dial, is missing a cyclops and wait for it . . . they'll sell you the Rolex box for $200.
There are many great sellers on this forum (I've used them twice). Do yourself a favor and hit up the For Sale section. If you don't see something you like, email one of the Trusted Sellers and they'll find it. Happy hunting. |

Do your research here on TRF. Go to the good guy section and learn who you trust. You can see that lots of members here have done many, many different transactions without any issues.
Just do some research and you will find yourself very comfortable dealing with certain sellers.

Don't know this seller, but that doesn't mean much. Since you're in Miami, this is convenient to have a seller in Ft Lauderdale. I've bought several watches through ebay, but if you aren't a little knowledgeable about the items you're buying, it can get problematic quickly.
A few things I noticed about the posting-- * the seller has done a thorough job of describing the watch, and this is good * the seller has a good ebay rating * the dial is Rolex with aftermarket refinish&diamonds * the seller tells you the model number, which is good, but hasn't given you the age. |

I had not looked at the watch. Diamonds on a man's watch is not my cuppa tea...but runaway from anything aftermarket. This deal has too much going on. You can get a full kit from many sellers here.
Have you checked out the sellers here yet? |
