Advice needed for lady watches

Hi all,
My wife is considering to buy her first rolex. Her wrist is very small. She is interested in having either yachmaster (for lady) or datejust (white gold without diamond). The AD sales persons advise that datejust will be a better choice for ladies as they are more in demand. Please give your opinion and which one you think will hold a better value. Thanks..

Don't listen to AD, get your wife what she wants.

Midsize (31mm) ladies datejust with stainless steel jubilee bracelet and a white gold fluted bezel is always popular - classy and timeless.

If she likes the YM, has she tried the midsize, which is a little larger than the ladies' size? It's a nice option. Regardless, she should make her own choice, and certainly try things in person. Women are buying the full range of Rolex offerings these days.

31mm DateJust is really a sweet watch, I agree.

I need help with my Rolex decision. I'm sorry to ask in this thread but I am not able to start a new thread yet. I just joined in hopes of making up my mind. I am trying to decide between a 26mm or 31 mm, SS/RG fluted bezel, pink diamond dial with jubilee bracelet. I have very small wrists and hands (ring size is 3.5 or 4). Does the 26 look dated since larger watches are "in"? Which one would be the best choice for year's come? This is a watch that I would like to pass along to my daughter.

Would a 31mm be better in a sportier style? Thank you!!

I bought my wife a 31 DJ. She loves it. I tried to get her interested in at least the 36mm DJ version but she has small wrists and didnt like it. Get what SHE wants or else she will never wear it!

My wife has a small wrist also and she prefers the size of a 36. Is it too big or too small? Only she can be the judge of that, as only you can be the judge of what is best for you.

IMO best to go to an AD and try on the different sizes and see what fits and looks best and ultimately what YOU like the most. No point in wearing something that you are not happy with for many years purely to pass along to your daughter.

It will be even more special when the times comes to pass on a Rolex that you have experenced many years of joy from. I think your daughter would appreciate this more!.

Just my 2cents worth.

I just got my wife a pink diamond 26 mm datejust. We looked at the other sizes, but the others just seemed to big and did not look right. I wear a DSSD. Guess I prefer large watches for men and the smaller size for a women.

I recommend the Ladies Datejust Midsize (31mm) with stainless steel Oyster bracelet, white gold fluted bezel and white face with Roman numerals. A classic and elegant timepiece for a woman.

Try them all on!!!!! The tiny ones, the middle ones, the larger ones. Let her pick. Make it an event, have some champagne, wine, coffee, etc. Enjoy the selection, take your time and then buy it.

Right!
Enjoy it. These days I see girls wearing ExpII and Subs and they look ultra sexy. Her size wrist has nothing to do with what she SHOULD get. She needs to buy what she likes and feels right on her wrist.
I dont trust ADs, they may want to move the watch that's been sitting there forever. She likes the YM go for it.
These are DJ 31mm and I think they are crazy gorgeous:

Afternoon luxluv,

In a single word, no. The 26 will always look classy. I purchased a 26mm TT DJ with a Jubilee Bracelet and diamond dial for my fiancée a couple of years ago. She is somewhat petite and it looks fantastic on her wrist. The vet that looks after our horses is about 5-8 feet tall with a medium build. She also has a 26 mm TT DJ. (Hate to think how much of that I’ve paid for).

Point being is fashion changes with time. Style is always . . . well, stylish. Large, oversized watches are on their way out. A classic like the 26 will always be perfect on a women’s wrist. If you want something sportier that can still be dressed up, I’d look at a TT Yachtmaster. In 26mm of course! Good luck.

Cheers,

David
