Yeah, I thought they said $32,400 for the 116718. Or was it $32,800? Oh well, there goes the neighborhood.

Yes, I believe so. At least 5%, I think a bit more actually. The DSSD had the biggest increase at +11%. Other models for the US ranged from 4.5-11.1% or there abouts.

US price for the Ex II 42 was $7,750 and will be $8,100 tomorrow. Canadian MSRP is C$8,200+tax Got mine in March for C$7,350 (tax in). Don't know if Canada will have increases as well, most likely it will go up. Probably my last Rolex for a looonnnggg time!

Do discontinued watches like the 14060M increase in price or just stay at their last listed?

Historically watches that are no longer in the catalog, i.e. discontinued, are not raised. However, the ND Sub may not be the same as it was just recently discontinued. I'm going to call today to find out myself.

Still learning here...it seems like this type of increase happens multiple times a year? I wonder what happened back in 2008-2009? Was there any increases back then when many parts of the world was in or about to fall into recession?

Getting cheaper for me to buy in Japan than the US even considering the Dollar Yen exchange.

I blame Omega for the Rolex price increases. Ł5k - Ł6k for a PO? Rolex have to respond. People who do not know about watches might think the more expensive must mean better quality. I am not saying an Omega is not worth the money by the way - I'm a huge fan but just think Rolex need to stay ahead for prestige.

What, Rolex is trying to narrow the price gaps with Sky Dweller, no?

That is an unrealistic new price to me. I have a 116718 "G" I got from a trusted seller on TRF BNIB last year and it was sold to me at an approximate 27% MSRP discount with the papers in my name. I think the days of double digit discounts on lower price range watches and sports models are going to quickly disappear if they haven't already but discounts on gold watches will still be around because few will be willing to pay the price of a new Mustang or Camero for a watch.

They keep raising prices but the demand IMHO at these prices is just not there. They have closed more AD's in the last year than ever before and plan on closing many more. This I assume was from high demand? LOL. I wonder who would want to still be an AD these days with these prices and what Rolex demands of an AD? The risk/reward ratio is not there for them anymore IMHO. The product doesn't reflect the price and has not in a few years.
