And then there were two!

Picked up my new white dial Explorer II today.

It's a Z series with papers, no CRB. I peeled off the hologram as soon as I got home. I originally intended to affix it to the warranty, but the sticky stuff remained on the case back so I tossed it in the trash instead.

Initial impressions: It's very comfortable on the wrist. The white dial is easy to read. It's so light, I had to keep checking under my sweater to make sure I had it on. Now I see why so many people like this watch!

The cyclops will take some getting used to. And the bezel is really, really difficult to turn.

All in all, this watch complements my Sea-Dweller very well.

The bad news is I have to go to Washington tomorrow to go scuba diving, so I won't be able to wear it all day. The good news is I'll wear it on the drive up and back, which should give me plenty of time to get to know it better. I know I can dive with it, but that's what the SD's for.

Maybe next weekend I can go sit in a cave somewhere and put the 24-hour hand to the test.

I was with Downing when he bought it and Downing, thank you for letting me be there when you did!

That was fun watching someone else spend money on a Rolex!!

I gotta say...it was hard even with a loupe to see the engraved rolex crown on the crystal!

B I G M I S T A K E ! ! !

I have a D SD & Z Exp II (Blk); love them both. CAN'T find
enough time to wear them. Hence I wear the SD on my left
arm and the Exp II on my right. I think I have just got the
hang of it. Bought my Exp II probably about 2 mths ago.
SD about 2 years before the Explorer.

No issue getting used to the bubble on the Exp... and it wears
very nicely too... very low profile on the wrist.

You just have to press the "24" down with a paperclip, Downing, then the bezel can be turned!

Congrats!

TOTALLY different than the SD, isn't it?

I bet you got a Scotch or two at the AD, as well?

Please post some pics (INCLUDING a wristshot)!

Great watch

Be careful or you will find that extra hand can be very addicting.. You may not want anything else but 4 hand watchs.

Congrats, Downing....welcome to the white dial club. I've got mine on even as I type this post.

Yes, agreed....it is a very comfortable watch....only 126 grams in weight as compared with the much heavier sports models.

Dial readability is a cinch and instantaneous!!

Wear it in good health, my friend!!

Cheers - JJ
