New MIlgauss Gv Buff question
Ok its my first Rolex (milgauss Gv) The scratches are beginning on the bezel and such. I have a few "dot" scratches from the car seatbelt oor whatever and need some guidence in how to remove the small "dings" that bother me....Any and all responses are greatly appreciated.

A brand-new Milgauss looks great. A Milgauss with a fine, even distribution of hairline scratches looks great. A Milgauss with one or two scratches draws your attention to the scratches. Ergo I wouldn't polish it because you'll just turning back the clock to the days of distracting scratches and worry, and never getting to enjoy a well-worn patina. Plus, repeated polishing absolutely positively erodes the case over time, no matter what people around here like to assert. How do you think all the 30+ year-old Rolexes you see wound up looking like bars of soap? Dings are another matter. If they're really bugging you, and you've changed your ways and are not likely to get a bunch more tomorrow, consider having them taken care of. But if you're just going to ding it up some more, I'd suggest learning to love them. |

Dings happen. Don't kill yourself worrying over them or you will never enjoy wearing you're watch.
