I can't help mention the subject of this giveaway - I know it's about the watch - but also about the guy. Hard to imagine he's been gone for over 30 years. So here's some things from different archives. How much grit did he really have?

In 1970 he co-drove the 12 Hrs. of Sebring in a foot cast a week after breaking his foot in 6 places during a moto-renduro cycle race. A pic and an interview about that below...see the leather boot and racer tape on his left foot? We, SCCA, had and still have a rule that race shoes have to be leather so he complied!
