Crazy! Have to pickup new Tudor strap in NY

I brought my Tudor Ducati to Rolex NY to get a second lether strap. I ordered it in may they just got it in. I had service done on my exp ii and they are sending the watch to me in Florida. The very nice rep told me I have to pickup the strap in person.

They will not send a Tudor strap. I have to bring the watch and they will put it on while I wait.

Why are they so scared. They know I bought it in Canada while visiting for a hockey tournament.

Crazy Huh?

Seriously? Unless you've already paid for the strap, I would suggest you tell them "Thank you but no thank you".

Do you go to NYC with any sort of regularity? If not, that's gonna be one expensive strap, what with the plane fair, hotel and meals, even if done as an overnight trip.

The more I think about the situation, the more annoying it becomes; imagine this: you go to NYC, present the head for the strap, and they confiscate it because it's not a US model. "Won't happen" you say? Really? Is that a bet you're willing to place?

Good luck on this one ... maybe a nice Hirsch would look good?

I travel to NY a lot. I showed them the watch and bill of sale. I wanted a spare leather band. So I can just wear the original till its worn without worrying about finding a new one. I even dropped off my exp ii for service. the band is only $189. They refused to send it with my exp ii. I must bring the Ducati watch in so they can put the band on. This is just nutty behavior.
