I have another watch with AR with a slightly domed crystal and it really doesn't make much a dramatic difference, but I guess with the dome design any reduction in glare is very much an improvement.
as far as I know only from the end of 2010 Rolex made coated cyclops and I find it a great improvement.

only the cyclop is coated.
