Serious Bonding Experience with my 5513

Many of us experience an event with a watch that can take the watch from posession status to experience status. The event can take many forms (wedding, vacation, adventure etc.). I had one yesterday with my 5513.
I have owned it for a year and really like it. As an admitted flipper, I had it up for sale 3-4 months ago - but withdrew the sale. Yesterday my daughter and I were invited to a large local lake in Dallas Texas for skiing, tubing, hanging out. I took the 93150 off and put on the Gunny leather nato - just in case... My 18 yr old daughter is timid to adventure and not experienced in open water. Long story short - we were about 100 yards off shore and the weather got VERY bad within minutes. With trouble we got back in my friends ski boat, for a harrowing 20 minutes back to shore. Me holding my daughter, getting pounded by high winds and water.
All ended OK, as we made it back to the dock and went directly to the bar, dressed only in bathing suits and life vests
My 5513, on vintage leather nato took a few blows yesterday - we officially bonded...

Took this pic this morning to remember the look.
Please share your bonding experience!

Glad it worked out and everyone was OK. I think I just bonded with your 5513...what a beauty!

Not a great pic here, but I took my 14060M on my first open water scuba dive in Isla Mujeres. A better shot below in the boat before we went out. We bonded...
