FS: ROLEX vintage SEADWELLER DOUBLE RED 1665 ~ 4.1mil ser ~ circa 1974
Good day, TRF!
Formalities out of the way first: Overnight shipping and insurance are included in US, will ship overseas, but at the buyer's expense. Price quoted is for payment by bank wire, PayPal/credit cards are OK, but buyer pays the fees (typically around 3% of amount, higher for AMEX). Returns accepted if the watch is misrepresented in ANY way. Have TONS of references, on and off TRF. Face-to-face in Southern Ohio or Northern Kentucky is fine, we can meet at an AD if that makes you comfortable. PM me, email at [email protected] , or call/text me at 513 680 6239 with any questions ~ Greg for your consideration: Rolex Seadweller 1665 “DOUBLE RED” ref 1665 ~ 4.1mil. serial (circa 1974) priced at $20,900 actual watch for sale, many more pics below CONDITION: In phenomenal shape for the vintage that it is – just look at many pics of the actual watch for sale posted. Showing normal surface wear. All lines and angles are correct, lugs and crown-guards are nice and thick (not overpolished like many examples on the market today). Original “DOUBLE-RED” dial is very clean, showing nice and even patina. Hands show matching patina. Plastic crystal shows light, even wear – nothing structural, only cosmetic. Crown is nice and tight, lugs have original chamfering on the back. The bezel insert is original Rolex insert correct to the model, but likely replaced, as the pearl at ‘12’ glows bright. Caseback has all the original Rolex engravings fully intact, plus the original owner's initials. The 9315 bracelet (correct for the model) shows light stretch, structurally very sound. The clasp is tight, with all of the correct stampings for the vintage. Mechanically, this watch is unbelievably sharp – losing less than 20 seconds/day. Date function operates as it should. Winding is nice and crisp. ABOUT THE WATCH: *Rolex certified chronometer movement, Calibre 1570 with 26 jewels *Stainless steel case and bracelet (all original) *Rotating diver’s bezel with a luminous pearl at ‘12’ *Original black matte dial with red ‘SEA-DWELLER’ and ‘SUBMARINER 2000’ lines, beautiful even patina all throughout *Original center seconds, minutes and hours hands with normal patina *Date aperture at ‘3’ *Screw down crown *Helium escape valve at ‘9’ *Solid caseback with all markings intact, plus original owner’s initials *Correct original Rolex plastic crystal CASE DIMENSIONS: Diameter - 40 mm (not including lugs and crown) Thickness – 17 mm Thanks for looking!
