Is this GMT II real?

Hi, is this a real GMT and is this a good deal for a 1991 watch? Everything looks good on the picture, just needed a second opinion.

I'm assuming it's a good thing since it's a 1991.

I'd pass on this one and get a better condition watch.

I'm looking on TRF and I'm not seeing any in a better condition at around this price. I'm seeing GMT II going for $4900 +

Really? I'd do it. I understand being forum loyal but $1100 is a big swing for a serviced gmt with box and papers.

OP I agree, have not seen one for 3800 in a while - I've watched. Eventually I decided I did not wanna spend almost 5k on one, so I got something else that I wanted this time around. But, remember just because its affordable doesn't mean its a "good buy." That said, I agree with the poster above. I'd want better pics, but it really does not appear to be in too bad shape.

Sorry but it's got the wrong clasp on it and it isn't stated by the seller. I'd be worried about any other omissions. Thus I'd pass but then my buying decision isn't just based on cost.

I just spoke to the guy over the phone for almost an hour and I'm pulling the trigger on this. Very honest guy and the best part was I was able to get the price down $3750 Canadian and he pays for the paypal fees. That works out to $3400 US.

The bracelet is brand new from previous seller but he never used it. He used an after market leather strap. It was serviced by Rolex last year and he has papers to prove it. It does come with manual and box but no warranty papers but has Rolex service papers. So overall I think its a good buy. Hopefully I didn't get scammed. I did find his eBay account and he has over 500 positive feedback. Majority of the feedbacks were purchase of watch and comics. Man this guy loves superman and watches!

I read the late80's early 90's 16700 and 16710 could be had with the 93150.

Correct John in TN. This is not the first I've seen with a 93150 and based on my research it was an option over the 78360.

See here on this forum even:

and Puffy and several others that post here posted same thing here:

This is correct. I have seen 90s GMTs with either a 78360 or a 93150 bracelet as original to the watch

Awesome! I think I got a good deal after all.

Now, I need to find a coke GMT bezel. Any recommendations where I can find one at a good price?

Raphael at kimballs jewelers in Knoxville tn. Their an AD. Absolutely an amazing guy and TN is cheap despite the higher sales taxes. (I'm buying one from him next month).

Sorry, Jocke, but the bracelet and clasp are correct for the GMT-II. It looks exactly like the one I'm wearing now. I have the exact same watch (Y serial), black bezel and all.

OK, this is odd. The seller just refunded my money and said he wants to follow up with Rolex to make sure the service records are accurate. WTF?????
Man, I'm not having any luck with getting a piece.

If anyone finds a good deal on a GMT, please let me know.
