The finer things in life.
I once read that all men should have a few finer things in life. To begin, a fine bottle of wine, a Rolex watch, a Monte Blanc fountain pen, a fine leather jacket, a nice automobile, and a few classic, leather-bound books. All of these things get better with age; they become sweeter to smell; sweeter to the touch; definitely sweeter by sight. Now, show us the rolex you wear, and wear, and wear, and wear until it reaches that "vintage" state of perfection.
Feel free to add to the list of finer things, but please post pictures of the watch, too. |

Boobies notwithstanding...
Here's a pic of my N series 16610, with NATO strap. It's no longer produced in this configuration, ie. lug holes and tritium dial. I'm thinking of retiring this watch (note the patinated markers!!) and picking up a current Sub Date to use as a beater. |

True story - I once had a Montblanc Rollerball pen - put it in my skirt pocket at work, took a bathroom break and.... and.... oops... flushed it down. |

The list sounds great, I would add these as well.
A fine pair of handmade English shoes( way exceedes Italian quality IMHO!) tailor made shirt (When you try one it's hard to have anything else!) A glass of fine single malt, a nice Oban for me! An excellent quality HIFI system (Audio Research amp, Brinkmann record deck, DCS cd, Sonus Faber speakers) That lot and the other ones mentioned at the begining would be perfect for me! Oh yes, a Bentley Brooklands, the new one! |

I would however the Bang & Olufssen HI Fi would do for me and a new pair of dress R, M. Williams boots. A bottle of Grange Hermitage Shiraz. The car? Just two.... I'd like a state of the art hybrid like the Lexus and a 1962 Austin Healey 3 litre in red. Used only to get the Sunday papers! Steve |

An Aston martin to that list and I agree with the comment of roller ball opposed to a fountain. I write with a fountain pen and I get ink all over myself. Love the list will have to flag up to my better half.

So what fits from the audio department? Mark Levinson, Rowalnd, Krell to name a few. Leaving MacIntosh out was very intentional. |

Oh, so right!! For me: Wilson Combat Tactical Super Grade and an Ed Brown Cobra Carry. Single-end Triode Tube amps -- fussy but soooo nice. I smoked my last cigar Weds night (hopefully). Went out in style with two Patron Annv. Series 1926s. Oh that was nice. |
