Ill never know what day it is!!! (New Sub ND)

Received my Submariner No-Date today!!
I must say it is a great watch, so comfortable and is not blingy at all. I was daily wearing my Daytona since January so now it will take a rest as it is gathering many scratches!

This Sub ND 14060M is a K serial in mint condition. I just dont know if this watch will go up in value since its a ND, what do you guys think? I cant wait to wear this daily since its kind of stealthy, Unless your a WIS you just think its an ordinary watch while with my Daytona alot of ppl look at it (probably since it has gold) which makes me a bit uncomfortable sometimes.

Heres a couple of pics, enjoy!

Beautiful watch, Sol. Don't worry about its price appreciation. Just enjoy that symmetrical beauty to the fullest!!!

Cheers - JJ

i like the non date sub too. and all because of the no hassel of adjusting the date each month.

but i changed my mind in last minutes, because i spotted the new GMT II SS. otherwise the non date sub is on my wrist alr.

now waiting to pick up my new GMT II SS

Thanks guys!
Quick question, Does anyone know if the divers extension should be so loose when the watch is off? It does not "snap in place" like my Daytona does...

It really shouldn't be loose, Sol. Being this an older watch from around 2001, you might want to have that clasp checked out by a Rolex watchmaker.

I'm pretty sure he'll fix it while you wait.

Good luck - JJ

Hey you got it!! Looks great, its the perfect daily wearer. Its not stealth at all, that oyster bracelet and the bezel has rolex writen all over it.

Thats clasp extension is the only thing I dont like about that watch, I hate how it just swings out like that. Maybe if you can find a new/used 16610 clasp or just the O extension with the extension part for sale and replace it.

Congrats, Sol!

What a BEAUTY!

And tell you what?

IMHO; the 14060M OP will become VERY collectible in a few years time, since it will probably be discontinued since the COSC version of it is now availible.

I have always loved the 14060M OP, since it is the LAST "untouched" Rolex (i.e.: Non SEL's, holes in the case, old-style diver's extension link)

Yes, I know the COSC version also has not got SEL's etc., and that it can be seen as a revival of the 5512 COSC Sub, but still I'd prefer the "minimalistic" dial design of the 14060M.

About the diver extension issue: As JJ so rightly states, it's an easy fix!

Congrats! The last of a special breed. The 14060M uses the 93150 bracelet with 580s. It's the last modern piece to do so and as such is the only current reference with a direct link to wonderfull past. Leave the diver's extension as is! It served very well for a long time in some pioneering enviornments

Umm...........I think you mean date NOT day, anyway the Daytona doesn't have the date feature either. So I suppose there is no difference.

Enjoy both your great watches.

Nice Sub. I have minor issues with the dive suit extension as well, but I enjoy the knowledge that I'm wearing the old school sub. If the bracelet really begins to bug you, try a croc band or a NATO. They will make it even more stealth.

Does yours snap in place at the center but not at the end attached to the bracelet? Mine is like that too. There really is nothing on that side of the extension to hold it in place. We don't get the benefit of the new style divers extension like the Sub date guys do...

Thanks everybody for the kind words.

I was wearing it all day and I must say that it is really comfortable, The divers extension doesnt bother me at all. I got it sized in the morning and I never noticed how tiny my wrist really is! I got it fitted tight and the lady helping me left 5 links on each side (including end links) and she still had to put the clasp adjustment on the smallest size. If I had a smaller wrist it would simply not fit me.

I never had a black dial watch before and I must say it is really awesome. I do not have any problems with the no date and the crystal is really clean without the cyclops which is a nice touch. Best part of all my wife even loves it! She wants to wear it occasionally!

I will be looking into a NATO band I dont know why but it might be fun to play around with (maybe in blue and red or flat black)
