So here's a question for you - how was it wearing a watch that is so loud? Did people pay compliments, others make comments, were u more protective of your left hand? :)

I find with mine, even when I'm in meetings, peoples eyes are following the direction of my left hand rather than staying 100% focused on what's being discussed.

I have a diamond and mop date just - but it's not as noticeable.
Wear it and be proud.
You earn it.

Alex, apologies for my late response. Outside of my normal 9-5 I represent a few folks in terms of looking over and assisting them with their finances. At the time my 18946 fit right into the winter sports crowd and felt right, I guess with age I no longer have the panache for loud items. I'd take my 1655 over any of my precious metal timepieces... Ok maybe not all but most in my collection

I'm curious about my decision to go w/o the diamond bezel.

I tried that exact watch on at Tourneau Time Machine on February 14 2009 after getting my first Rolex I asked to try that on for S's and G's. That watch is so heavy. Sticker was 88,000$ then. Idk what it is now. Gorgeous piece though the high polished platinum bracelet is a pain in the ass to keep clean! Sam im guessing you sold yours but if you have more pics please share them!Gotta love the name of this watch,it really plays out to be the king of Rolex's. The "Masterpiece" One of my all time favorite Rolex's and watches of all time.
