Lots of guys/girls use Jewelers Mutual... I would call your home owners insurance though and get a quote from them too. Ours (State Farm) was cheaper for watches and my wife's rings, so we wet with them.

State Farm - same as above. Didn't look into Jewelers Mutual though. You can find the typical cost for jewelry insurance via google. I looked at the time and it's pretty standard.

Jewelers Mutual for all jewelry here... if you have a claim/loss it is not against your home and therefore skyrocketing that rate (house)... A better bet IMHO

I use state farm personal property insurance, it's a stand alone policy. I often consider using Jewelers Mutual, but I wonder if GOD FORBID something was to happen would an internet company handle your claim like a state farm rep would?
Or even if Jewelers Mutual would handle the claim accordingly or try and delay the process. I know jewelers mutual is a replace only policy. |

If you're eligible to join look at USAA. I've used them for ten years and never had a bad experience. Top notch IMHO.

We use Chubb for all of our watches and jewelry. They also handle our home owners but its a separate policy for the watches etc.

I don't know anything about Jewelers Mutual. However, I can tell you its important to see what the coverage provides, do they cut you a check for a specific valuue, or do they try to find you the same piece?
To the OP, as for the price you pay, is usually a small percentage of the value of the item. So the cost will depend on the price/value of the item/s you choose to insure. |
