Does this seem feasible ???
Hi
Its my 1st post so I hope I'm not breaking any rules here.... Found a site called capitalwatchesandjewellery.com that are based in the uk they also have a a number of stores one of which is not far from me. I spotted a secondhand ladies oyster with diamond dial and bezel for £2495 so I phoned the number and a guy answered with "hello" no mention of the company name or anything? I explained I was interested in a particular watch on the website (salmon diamond dial) and asked if they had one at the tamworth store, he said he could get a ladies oyster for next Wednesday so I was to phone back then as he would have to swap the dial to the salmon one? There are 4 different ladies oysters with diamonds featured on this site MOP , black , White and salmon on the site which made me wonder why he would have to swap the dial. So I then sent an email enquiring about the specific watch and I got this reply Hi, We will have the watch on Wednesday however the dial would need changing for you. It is not usual but due to it being our very last one for at least two weeks we would need a deposit to do so and to hold it for you. I apologise for this but hope you understand our position. If you make an appointment for Saturday also, then obviously you can take it away there and then, after paying the balance. Best regards Wayne. Is this feasible and furthermore has anyone had any dealings with this site? |

Sounds to me as they are building watches... Not the standard way of doing business, also be careful not to get any aftermarket parts on the watch.

These types of parts are replacement (compatible) and not genuine original parts.

It sounds a bit too risky for my tastes, I don't think I'd do such a deal.
