Opinions/advice needed on this watch
A big HI to all the AP experts here.
Can anyone tell me more about this watch? What's good or bad about it? I Google'd and all the pictures for this reference shows a very different face with a red date hand pointing to dates around the dial. The model is 25920ST.O.0789ST.02 from the papers. There also doesn't appear to be any posts about this watch on TRF? Is it not a desirable piece? The seller has all the books and and the watch, which is an E series, was bought in 2004. He also appears to have had it serviced in Jan 2012. What is a reasonable price to offer for this watch? Many thanks to all. Regards, |

For some weird reason I can't see the picture on my iphone. Based on the reference that you provided, that should be a Royal Oak Annual Calendar with blue dial. I personally love the red accents and this piece is just gorgeous and a must have in my book. The desirability should be based on how bad you want it and not necessarily how bad others want it. If you like it and all seems fine go for it.

If you could see the picture, you will find that the dial has no red accents. I wonder why the difference.

The reference ending in 01 (which refers to the dial) comes with red hand and also with red accents on the 31 and certain months. The 02 has a different hand with a half moon shape and no red accents. Here's a link to one that was up for sale a while ago: http://www.watchseller.com/audpigroyoak5.html
It sold dirt cheap in my opinion. I personally like the one with red accents much better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Watches are the new currency!

Yes. This link shows the watch by the seller. What would be a reasonable price for it?

Very nice selection. Asymmetrical dial, but an understated watch. I realize understatement is not everyone's preference in ROOs, but I prize that quality. I'm lurking just to find out the answer to your question. Fascinating forum, no? RC |
