Does this two-tone look good?

I am curious about the dial. I've never seen one like that. Also model number is 16613 and 8M serial. Is this possible?

I would NEVER buy a Rolex off of Ebay! In fact, the only online source that I'd consider buying from is a trusted TRF seller, and I'm talking the mega sellers like OCRolexGuy, DavidSW, and a few others. Melrose Jewelers is an online store that sells tons of Rolex and they are now being sued by Rolex for selling Frankenwatches. I purchased mine from an AD. I figured I'd pay a little extra to have the peace of mind that it was 100% Rolex. In the end, I got such a great discount from my AD that the cheapest version of my watch that I found on ebay was $300 more than what I paid for (tax included) from my AD!

Thanks for your input about EBAY. My question was about the authenticity of that dial. Is that a genuine Rolex dial?

Rolex does make that dial. Whether this one is real or not is hard to say. The picture is too blurry to be sure. As stated many times before, whether on here or on ebay, you buy the seller, not the watch.

I don't think its Authentic! The lettering of ROLEX seems far too fat

Exactly, I've bought a few things on Ebay now (I've always been an anti online shopping) as well as a watch on TRF and I've always had good experiences for that very reason. There will always be horror stories but I do believe that some people can still sell beautiful Rolex watches on Ebay.

Besides, some of our trusted TRF sellers have Ebay accounts as well, that should show you that there are some honest people even on this website.

The 6 and 9 o'clock markers look too thin and too short. Are you sure it's genuine Rolex?

In a word, no I am not. However the following quote from the dealer on that item description would make me very suspicous.

"We are also able to offer a complete line of our own custom diamond dials and diamond bezels at a tremendous savings. Rolex does not allow their dealers to sell used Rolex watches. We are able to offer a huge selection of reconditioned Rolex watches at a fraction of the cost of a new one resulting in a tremendous savings to our customers!"

This quote alone would make me run for the hills screaming...

Questions of authenticity are only to be asked in the 'watchout section'.....!
Discussion of fakes is against TRF rules, and goes against all that the forum stands for!

either the serial number provided is wrong, it is not possible to have a 8 million serial number and be a model 16613. I would say its a 16803. either a typo or the seller does not know his watches.

It's probably not.
Along with what crowncollection said, this posting seems awfully fishyyyyy!

BTW, the posting has been removed.

I have to disagree with this 100%. There are many people on TRF who sell that are honest and good people. I have bought several watches from TRF members who are not "Mega Sellers" and have had great expriences. In fact the majority of sellers on TRF are not mega sellers, but good honest people. No matter where you buy or sell do your homework and check your facts. IMHO

Dial is fake. As mentioned, it is not a 16613 either, but a 16803.
