I have to say this is why I love the Rolex, they look so good in so many unexpected ways! Nice one, wear it in good health!

It'd probably stand up to as much punishment as an Explorer 1. I like the look!

DD came originally without an 18k bracelet
When the Day-Date was introduced in 1956, it came with a leather-band and an 18k solid gold buckle. The solid 18k gold bracelet was optional and not many were interested in it.
However only later, when Rolex Geneva discovered their 18k solid gold bracelet was not popular, all the new DDs came with gold bracelet - no more optional. I cannot understand as to why some people still think, a DD has to come with its gold 18k bracelet. Otherwise, it does not look good and complete. Personally, I think a DD looks so attractive when worn with a leather-band. |

looks like super swamper off road tires on a Porsche.
i think a non-nato like turbo watches fits it better. But if you like it, enjoy it. |

OK with it, too
On anything else it looks much better than on an 18k solid gold President or Jubilee bracelet. It is surprising to discover, the quality of the Rolex Day-Date is solid, heavy, iconic and will never age, while the bracelet will 'droop', look haggard and tired, after some while - this is untypical of Rolex quality. |
