Can someone tell me if this is real or fake?

Found this as part of a relatives estate. It's got weight and smooth second hand movement but the serial number (173316) does not say "rolex" and when I looked it up, it shows as 1965? Also the holograph on back doesn't look right but not sure what year they started using those. Any help identifying this as real or fake would be greatly appreciated.

i think you need to take it to a rolex dealer and confirm what is wrong with the date feature. its stuck. so it needs 500$ of work real or fake.

Looks like an older Ladies President with pave'. No reason to believe that it's not a late 60's dated (serial numbered) case. These will lag well behind other faster moving models. Frequently a decade or more.

Holographs are meaningless and could have been stuck on at any time..

get it in to Rolex for a service and you will have a very nice evening watch.

I've never seen anything like that. I think there are
Some red flags. Would be interested to know too frankly.

Well the band is not a Rolex option so there is your 1st problem, Rolex do not completely pave any president band only the centre links its likely customized . As for the dial if it is indeed a 60's model as suggested by the serial number, that dial is a 1980's option it's called a Myriad paved dial and is not an original option if the serial shown is correct. The diamond bezel is aftermarket, it has incorrect diamond count. The main movement may be original and case but it's a Franken watch. Can you show us the model number on the other side of the case ? this would help us see if it's an original white gold case

At the 6 o'clock of the dial you see T SWISS MADE T, indicating tritium.
So either that dial doesn't belong to that watch or the hands aren't original.

Crown looks a little big to me, but it might be just the close up pics playing tricks on my eyes.

If there is no model number or number at all on the other side of the case , I would have to suspect, you have a fake case , it's not looking good, fake case, band at the very least is altered, so rolex will say its is not original can you take a close up of the clasp markings I can not quite see them well enough to verify your band, take a photo especially the Rolex scrolling and hallmarks, bezel is no good ( aftermarket) , case lug diamonds do not look original. Dial is suspect it, should say Swiss made I have owned a few of these dials, coronet is a bit crooked and the shape of the oval under the coronet is rounded shape. Can you take a photo of the otherside of the case.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I know it's hard to say it's real or fake just from photos. I've looked all over the web and havn't seen anything even close to this so I figure it's either fake or someone went to town customizing it. The woman who owned it did come from China in the early 80's (first red flag right off the bat) however, she was married to a very wealthy man in the 60's... Here's a couple more photo's

There is no Rolex service shop in Victorville, I am in Victorville as well, if you need help opening the back I have the tools, don't mind helping a neighbour out.

if you would be so kind as to provide the photos we request, we want to help, we can tell a lot, we need the inside markings of the clasp, scrolling and hallmarks and we can tell if the band is original and customised or a complete fake, you appear to be able to take close ups, and take a photo of the otherside of the case please. Of course one shot of the movement would tell us a lot.

The scroll work clearly indicates a fake.

The band is definitely fake.
You should still get someone to open up the case and check out the movement.

Even if the bracelet was original, with all that diamond work it would be worth no more than gold plus diamonds. So it does not really change much if it was original or not.

If the watch is a fake, who's to say those are real diamonds or real gold?

open up the back so that we can see the movement. that will help in authenticating it.
