Does bracelet year always match watch year?
I'm looking for a bracelet for my 1985 Sea Dweller. According to Greekbums list of "Rolex Bands, Bracelets and Clasp Info ..." in the Rolex Reference Library section a Clasp/Bracelet from 1985 should be a 93160 marked "J". Now, my question is: Does bracelet year always follow watch year (which you can identify from the serial number), or could a 1985 watch be born with an e.g. 1981 bracelet from the Rolex Factory?
Best wishes from Kleno |

They're not always the same. A 1985 produced watch could be sold with a 1981 (or 82,83, etc) produced bracelet.

The years do not always match 4 years is just acceptable, anymore gap in years would start to concern me.
