How is this Datejust 16200 (for my first Rolex)?

Found this Rolex Datejust 16200 online for $3,700. I have several questions hoping you could help out:

(1) Is it a good price?
(2) Which year is it roughly?
(3) Does everything looks original?

Thank you for answering!

$3,700 seems a bit high to me, you can find newer DJs here on the forums for under 3k

You should contact them and ask what letter the serial starts with so we can date help you it.

The ends of the stick markers have a luminous dot, however the hands are not luminous (doesn't appear so to me).
This raises the question as to whether the hands and/or dial is original to that particular watch.

Thanks for the hints. I actually found a similar but better watch for my taste (white dial). I am curious of your opinion. Here is the updated link:

Do a search of Goldwatchco on this forum and check out the Watch Out forum in the classifieds section. I too considered them when purchasing a Rolex until I did some research. I'm glad I did and didn't purchase from them. Melrose was another company I was considering but they had even worse reviews. Take your time and research, research, research! Best of luck!

Depending on the serial, the fair market price should follow suit. For reference, try the MP on this forum.

Re: the question of how a DateJust is for a first watch....only you can answer that. Does it work with your style of dress? Your work environment? the watch can go both formal and relatively informal IMO...but you may feel differently.
