Advice on gold audemar piguet watch please
Hello,
newbie here. I'm hoping some one may be able to help. I inherited from my dad a Audemar Piguet gold bracelet watch (attached pics). I remember it from the seventys when my dad would shake it to wind it up. It's now just left in a draw at home so I've decided to sell. Not sure of it's value or where best to sell it. I took it to a local gold merchant geezer who offered me 700 quid but thought it would be best to seek further expert opinions. Any advice I really would be grateful for. Thanks in advance. |

I'm curious to know as well. Some of the pro's will chime in shortly, I'm sure.

First off, welcome, secondly unfortunately I cannot help you with the value of the watch.
That being said, and I know this may not be such a welcomed opinion, but it should be worth more to you when you get to pass this on to your children than any dollar amount you would get for it. If this were some very rare unique piece, I might understand the value proposition of selling it, but hopefully your next generation will find more sentimental and family related value in it than you do. Sorry, I don't tend to take personal opinions on things like this, but had to chime in here. I'm not trying to rub you the wrong way, but this is what I would say if you were a close friend of mine.
