should there be a serial no.?

i bought a new sub 114060 last week from an AD. i removed the strap today to pop on a nato strap and was surprised to find there was no serial number hidden between the lugs at 6oclock.

is this right?

It's there. As mentioned, you can find it on the 6 o'clock side of the rehaut.
