Brooks Brothers when they have a sale. I usually buy one and get the second half off. The quality is the best I have found for under $200 a pair and I have had a couple pair for more than 5 years.

I don't even know without counting, but it's more than I'd care to admit. I have the flexibility of wearing what I want unless I have a specific meeting.

As said above, more than I care to admit.
I'll say about 20 pairs of dress pants and another 15 pairs of more casual "docker" style.
Almost all of my dress slacks come from Jos. Bank.
My "dockers" are all Polo.
Almost every pair, both styles, I buy on sale. Joe Banks has a great day after Thanksgiving sale. I catch it every year as it's literally too good to miss.

I like Hugo Boss personally for dress pants. They tend to be cut stylishly and the pricing is reasonable compared to other fashion labels. That doesn't mean I don't own some more expensive pants for special occasions; I just tend to wear cheaper stuff most of the time because I am dealing with undeserved populations a lot and it would be vulgar in my opinion to overdress when dealing with people who have to live off government subsidies.

I buy my pants at Nordstrom or Hugo Boss.

The 3 for 1 sale is one of Jos. A Bank's best sales. Unfortunately, I did not pull the trigger. I was looking for some khakis and tried the Traveler Pleated Tailored Fit Khakis. Way to full, especially in the rear. I prefer pleated because they are more comfortable for me in an office environment. I even tried the plain fronts and they were too full as well. Very disappointing! I wear the Traveler Tailored Fit Pleated Front Trousers dress pants daily and they fit great. The sales associate said that their khakis are cut fuller than their dress pants. Any suggestions on slim fit khakis?

I clicked on this thread just to find out what 'slacks' are. I now gather they are a formal type of trouser. Fascinating.
