I'm incredibly good looking, so that helps.

I don't subscribe to any BS theories. I manage my personal brand carefully and strive to develop a reputation as a confident and respectful employee that delivers the goods when others can't or won't. That and did I mention my stunning good looks?

Is it not better to avoid being the top dog, and to be an eminence grise somewhere in the background, quietly making yourself indispensable? Top dogs tend to come and go with frequency, whereas the smarter guys get to lay low and hang around for years. The net income generated that way is probably higher than that flowing from a year or two at the "top".

Well if you're not the lead dog on the sled team, the view never changes and isn't so sweet smelling...
