...this is my dilemma......ready to spring for another purchase. I do own quiet a few Rolex SS models (probably too many) and one Panerai. Really like the look of both of these Chronos. Just need some opinions here please. Thanks

Though I love the Tudors, I would get the Panerai Daylight over the Bigblock.

Tudor. I've long been a fan of the Valjoux 7750 movement ('bout as bullet proof as they get), and the Rolex case is awesome. Yes, the Zenith-based movement in the Panerai is a well-respected movement, but just wait for a service. Think 2012 Toyota Camry tune-up versus '77 Ferrari 308GTB.

I'm pretty sure the 188 has a Valjoux 7753 movement.

Make sure you are happy with the width of the hands on the Tudor. I found it hard to read sometimes against the sub dials and no lume at night. But the Tudor is a beautiful looking pc.

Between the two, I'd go with the Tudor.

Obvious question here, but have you considered a Daytona if you're looking for a chrono?

both have solid eta valjoux movements. i'd go tudor in this case, because (i) i'm just not a huge fan of PAM chronos (i think other brands are more known for this complication), (ii) the 188 is a white dial, and i think PAMs are at their best in black, (iii) that tudor is a great reference for tudor, and (iv) variety (you already have a PAM, but no tudor).
