anti magnetic

Here is a testament to Rolex and the anti magnetic properties of their watches. I am a Tool maker by trade and make insertable tool holders for the Screw Machine industry. I wear my rolex every day at work, either a Sub C or a GMT IIC. I work with machine tools that have permanet or electro- magnetic chucks and constently waveing my watch over them. The tooling has to be demagnatized when it comes off the chuck. I never had a problem with a magnatized Rolex.

Likewise working in the steel industry for almost 30 years working with and around very powerful electro magnets capable of picking up 20 plus tonns. And never ever have a problem with 5513, 16610, 16660, 16060, 16710 or any other watch I was wearing.Plus now work with and repair powerful RF amplifiers and transceivers that put out a very strong magnetic field again never had any problem with magnetism.

You probably aren't working on Klyston tube amplifiers then. They will snatched a ferrous screwdriver right our of your hand and yes, will magnetize a watch.

Quite true any powerful magnet could magnetise any watch if in the direct magnetic field long enough. But what I said in my post that myself have never had any problems with my watches getting magnetised. And today to de-magnetise is quite a very very simple process. But most all swiss watches today including Rolex have to pass the Swiss anti magnetisum test.Which is to withstand a strong magnetic field of 4800 Amps per meter, and to keeps on running with a maximum deviation of 15- 30 seconds per day.Now this test I am 100% sure that 99% of all watch wearers would never subject or come into contact with such a strong magnetic field.
