No love for the milgauss? :-) I think I could consider a GMT IIc but later if I don't really dig having both subs. I can always later on flip the LN for a GMT if that's the case. :-) The DJ is not something I really like. I'm more sports oriented hehe. Cheers!

By the way, jay1988, say you go to New York for Christmas and come back with a Rolex you bought there on your wrist. If I understand you well, you would pay taxes on that watch upon entry in the UK, right? That sounds weird to me, independently of the fact that it is true. Look at this post by a Brazilian fellow that just got a Rolex in NYC. I really doubt he had to pay tax. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=265766

Oh yeah nobody pays tax. Well 99% of people will just walk through customs and get away with it. However on the low chance that you do get stopped and you have a receipt with you then they would charge you. It is very unlikely you will get caught but it can happen.

I just did a google search and found this. The second to last post says the following:

"I have a mate who bought a Rolex abroad and packed the box and receipt in his case.

Got pulled paid more for the watch than if hed bought in new here...

It CAN happen...

M"

If I was to do it, I would have to buy it on the way to visit a relative and leave the box with them and papers with them. I have a few relatives in foreign countries. I would ask them to bring the box with them when they came to see me.

It's not even about the receipt. I believe in the UK, if they suspect that it is from outside they can hold it until you prove otherwise. It's not like committing a crime. They don't have to prove that you bought it outside the country, they can just suspect it.

At least that's what I was told.

hmmm interesting so you'd get the GMT first... I think I'll be getting the Hulk for sure, but too many of you guys have mentioned getting a GMT instead of an SubC LN... I am still thinking.
