Hotel room security - Keep your watches safe!!
I know some of you travel with multiple watches, meaning some your watches may be left behind when you leave your room. Check this video out. Very interesting stuff...

Next time I will just take my stuff with me. Also hen have to stay in a hotel will not be taking more than the one watch.

Yeah! I caught that this morn on the Today Show. I have heard a few horror stories before about people going to sleep at night in their hotel rooms, waking up, and finding that their jewelry and cash are gone from the nightstand. The video makes me want to check those lock door devices now for those holes in the bottom.

We always use the chain or equivalent. I've always thought my wife is crazy for wanting to use them, and the dead bolt, but watching this... Maybe I'm the crazy one...

Another reason to use the secondary lock inside.

Yikes. I guess for the time being then it's always use the chain when in the room (from what I read even the deadbolt can be opened this way) and try not to leave anything valuable when out of the room.

Yeah and just to clarify, the video mentions that even the deadbolt is suspect - and to make sure you use the chain.

If funny how when technology fails, we depend on the basics! :)

As far as hotel room safes go, I don't use them to store anything of real value while I'm out of the room. If the watch is not on my wrist then I put it in a safe deposit box in the HOTEL safe, not the room safe.
