Ceramic bezel 116520LN Daytona for 2012?

Anyone have any inside info on the possibility of a LN version of the classic SS Daytona? Does Rolex always follow the pattern of releasing Gold versions only a year before the SS models? They did this with the SubC but they acknowledged that the SS version was coming the following year so I'm confused about their tactics. So here is a photo I found somewhere else of what it might look like if/when it is released. Looks good right? I want really want one!!!

So lets get the rumors and excitement going early

-Chris

If I remember correctly, the Sub-C release was spaced out over several years. First there was the all gold model, then the next year there was the partial SS/gold model, then the next year the full SS model. I would not be surprised if the Daytona followed this pattern of releases over more than two years.

I believe if we do see a SS/Ceramic Daytona from Rolex it will be in 2013... Gold in 2011, TT in 2012 and SS in 2013... Of course no one knows and will just have to wait and see. My guess is YES we will see a SS/Ceramic Daytona as it seems the direction Rolex is going with most of the new models.

X2

This timing would also go along with the 50th Anniversary in 2013.

However we will all just have to wait and see what Rolex decides to do.

I would absolutely love a little green in my Rolex life...Really dig the subtle nature of the first "green" pic above. However, it might have something to do with the fact that I'm a MSU Spartan and bleed Green and White :)

If Daytona had this, I'd love them. Until then, Tudors are a better option, IMO. But, I do require a date function, so I'm jaded.

Huh? What the...Tudor? Why would you want a sub par Rolex Daytona? I'm a bit confused about being jaded about the Daytona in general. If you want a Chrono with a date get a Breitling Navi 01. That being said...I would also appreciate a non jaded version of the Daytona with a date, however, since I'm an owner of a PAM 111 I realize it's not the end of the world to go without a date :) My SubC is my daily "beater" FYI. Also, I love my Porsche Carrera but would never wear a "Tudor" in it even though they endorse Porsche!!!

I agree, but I think I prefer the steel bezel. And the green has got to be subtle, not like Eric's pic below with the three big green alien eyes on the dial! We come in peace!

I love the thought of ceramic, but it looks better with a shiny bezel.
