I have to say that Kyoto is one of the most beautiful places I've visited. The blending of buildings and nature is superb. I really like how the Japanese Gardens are presented. Would love to have visited these places again in late autumn, when the leaves are falling and a sea of red...

Thanks guys! I only went to Osaka and Kyoto, been to Tokyo before but will definitely visit again. Next time most likely will be during Cherry Blossom or Autumn Leave season.

Absolutely stunning pics! I've been to most of those castles when I stayed in Osaka for a couple of months many many years ago. That Nijo castle, is that the one where the Tokugawa Shogun lived?

Great pics.. I did a whirlwind tour through Japan a few years ago - visited the same places in Kyoto, after a stay in Shinjuku.

Kyoto is one of the most interesting places I've ever been. Beautiful place. I just felt very much at peace walking the small narrow streets by the river.

Kiyomizu-dera was one of my favorite spots there. Amazing view, especially the graveyard below at night. I plan to return someday soon.
