Is the band original on this GMT?

Is this band real or aftermarket/fake?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

The bracelet and endlinks seem authentic , however the 555 endlinks are not the correct endlinks for this watch .The reason they don't fit right as on the picture , You'd want the deeper 550 end links on this GMT .

RolexSA is correct that 555 end pieces are not correct for the GMT; 555 end pieces belong to the DateJust. The 550 end pieces are correct for the GMT, but they must go with the 550 Jubilee bracelet with the links next to the case stamped "550". Otherwise, a standard DateJust bracelet won't work with 550 end pieces either if use on the GMT.

absolutely correct, the links are larger on a GMT band something most do not notice and the endlink loops are much larger where the endpieces attach

Thanks a lot, didn't know the Gmt Jubilee was different from any other jubilee.

What iff only the end pieces are marked, but not the band itself (on its last link before the end piece)? Fake?

That can be fixed, though, with not-too-invasive (and reversible) "surgery".

A genuine DJ Jubilee bracelet will not have its last links stamped, so NO, it's not fake. See my first picture of DJ Jubilee with 555 end piece. The second picture is a Jubilee bracelet for the GMT, with 550 end piece and the last link stamped "50". I was incorrect when stated earlier that the last links of Jubilee bracelet for GMT are stamped with "550", and that was from my memory. I pulled the bracelets out today to verify the stamping, and it's stamped "50". You can clearly see the difference in thickness of the spring bar between the DJ and the GMT; the spring bar for GMT is FAT as it is the same for the Sub, Explorer, Daytona, etc.,.

Thank, learned something again (I know a lot about vintage Rolex and Tudor sporties, but haven't gone into bracelets yet). I guess the American Jubilee bands are all not marked, right?

Yes, Jb champion American and Mexican jm "hecho" made bands have relatively poor markings compared with the Swiss bands of the same period as we're the C & I rivets bands.
