As most of you who have ever read any of my posts or replies you will know that I advocate wearing my watch almost all the time and it has the scratches to prove it.
The only time I will not wear it is if I am moving bricks, other than that its on my wrist.
I am not into delibarate abuse, but I bought it to wear.
What about you guys?

I wouldn't wear it if playing any sports or any time of mechanical work. I don't mind scratches on my watches. I just perfer to avoid damaging the watches beyond the normal scratches.

I risk scratching the clasp whilst typing!

Which basically means I can NEVER wear a Rolex!

Impacts with metal/brick/mortar/stone concern me the most. I do not want the case scraped or dinged, and I really don't want the crystal shattered (You know what THAT means: RSC or AD's watchmaker). I am not too concerned with shock from things like shooting or using a hammer, but something that strikes the watch recieves concern.

I wear it pretty much 24/7, including sleeping. But if I have an engagement that I know will obviously cause physical damage to the Rollie, then I will not wear it for that event.

I don't wear it while sleeping (it is uncomfortable for me). I definitely take it off when shooting or playing sports.

I mostly wear it all the time (Apart from sleeping), unless there's an obvious risk - cleaning out the woodburner etc...

I have twice not worn it during my travels when my 'sixth' sense said leave it in the hotel safe.

I really try to remember to take it off for mechanical work or anything highly likely to ding or gouge the case - casual scratches are unavoidable.

I also take it off for sports (golf) - less for concern about the watch than for my comfort in playing.

Heading out right now to clean out my gutters for the umpteenth time and will not be wearing my Rolex. Too many metal nooks and crannies to worry about but other than that I only take it off for mountain biking b/c it is heavy and will beat up my wrist. Not that it couldn't handle it but my wrist can't handle it.

I usually don't take off my watch, but I don't expose it to anything rough either. My watches do get exposed to water quite often though, which is why I like to wear dive watches pretty often. Overall, I just try to be reasonable about it. If I go to the gym to weightlift, etc., I wear a G-Shock because a metal watch would not only be easy to scratch but the bracelet doesn't adapt to times when my wrist might be swelling up for a bit.

One great thing about Rolex and Omega, they make divers which are pretty durable overall and which don't scratch as easily as some others.

So far I have not removed my baby except for sleeping time or in the rough situation which may harm my TOG physically.

For the reason of not removing it, I got some disadvantages in couple occasions when I was shopping. That's ok, life is too short to worry too much about small things (my opinion).

I don't wear mine when doing mechanical work or when I'm working around machinery. I do a lot of work in beverage plants, so it's easy to bump into conveyors and machinery. Although, I do sometimes sleep with my Rolex!

Heavy power tools (chainsaws, jack hammer etc.), rock climbing, working on car, machinery, waterskiing (a friend's GMT is at the bottom of Lake Tahoe for someone to find some day), and police work (don't do that anymore though). The aforementioned situations are for my G-Shock to get some play.

I also wear my watch most of the time. Except, when I am work on tight space like fixing my car or on my job fixing legacy computers and peripherals on US NAVY ship. That is why I love SS model. SS is harder than most thing that it has to bang against it.

I wear mine most of the time, except for the gym. But it's on me when I Surf, Scuba, Mountain Biking, Work, Travel. The best thing about a Sub is that it looks perfect in a wetsuit, in jeans, and at the office!!

I wear mine 8-5 and on weekends, comes off when i go to sleep or when i'm playing with the three year old (heck with the watch, just don't want to scratch him).

Bought mine to wear.

I know there are a few "bike" riders on the forum. However, I WOULD NOT wear mine while riding my motorcycle. I am VERY confident that I am a good rider but, I don't trust the people around me. It would be bad enough if I dumped my bike ( My fault or not ) I would not want to destroy my "investment"... But that's just me...

Bought mine to wear.

Not so much within my company but we do work with government clients and I am self conscience wearing it when I am meeting with them. I tend to make sure my sleeve is covering it or my left are is off the table. I don't want them to think we are over-priced, even though I know my watch has nothing to do with my company's bill rates.
