FS: Daydate 18038 6Mill serial/may sell head/band.

Greetings! I have a vintage Daydate I acquired with the intent to change the bezel back to original (I personally don't like the aftermarket diamond bezels at all.. but to each their own).

The watch is a 18038 SINGLE quickset [Sapphire crystal]. The movement (3055) looks clean and the bracelet has about the expected stretch for the band.. wearable for sure but to be conservative I'd put the stretch/life around 75%? I noticed the gasket was on the way out and had that replaced on the case back.

The watch could sure use a polish and does show some scratches and wear, again not too surprising given the age/nature of 18K. The band is missing 4 links I believe and it's tight on my wrist as you can see in the photo.

The watch is currently running -2 a day and while the movement looks clean I would recommend a service as the last time it was worked on seems to have been 88! I believe it is winding a little tight and could use some grease but again, it is running GREAT and the autowinding system is working as expected. The dial is factory and one of the old tritium markers looks to have been removed. Pretty good shape all things considered!

I am pricing it with the above factored in, willing to do a trade+cash if you want... I was also considering selling the bracelet by itself but held off.

$6,500.00 wired or in person cash is fine in the Boston area as it is. But please... for the love of god replace the bezel. They can be had for around 300 or so.

I have a lot of great references and I should be mentioned in Who's who a few times.

PS: I had some pre-posting nibbles already but so far still waiting to hear back, this will not last! -Chris

I ended up asking buyer if he could please bow out so the gentlemen that called on me first could have it.

He gracefully bowed out.

Sold to Ryan.
